Devon International Trade Forum, Wednesday 2 May

Torbay Council’s economic development company, Torbay Development Agency (TDA), will host the next Devon International Trade Forum (DITF) meeting at 6pm, Wednesday 2 May, at the Innovation Centres in Vantage Point, Paignton.

The DITF is open to any business interested in trading internationally, whether experienced or just starting out. The Forum meets every quarter to discuss guidance on international trading and offer access to a wide range of support services in its network.

The TDA is keen to work closely with the DITF to help local businesses take advantage of international opportunities. Trading internationally will open up a whole range of new possibilities for companies in the Bay, and by working with the DITF, the aim is provide the support needed to help local businesses work internationally.

The event starts from 6pm and is FREE of charge, featuring a programme of short talks from experts on international trade. The meeting will conclude around 8pm with a light buffet and opportunities for networking.

Torbay Mayor, Gordon Oliver said: “Local businesses that build links with international counterparts can not only help to boost our economy, but help promote the awareness of Torbay as a business location to a global audience.

“Therefore I urge any local business, big or small, to attend and help support us in promoting the Bay as an excellent place to live, work and invest in.”
