Mayor's Forum - Working together for a brighter bay

Torbay Mayor, Gordon Oliver will host the Mayor’s Forum, an opportunity for all those who are passionate about improving life in the Bay to hear about new projects and future plans.

The event will cover:

Regeneration Projects:

- Maximising the benefits of the South Devon Link Road, progress at White Rock Business Park, improvements and repairs to Torquay Promenade and planting new iconic palm trees in the Bay and other schemes.

Improving Our Tourism Offer:

- Mayoral pledge of £250,000 to support marketing, inward investment and events in the Bay, a £60,000 national TV campaign to support this year’s tourist season

- The work of the Torbay Events Forum plans for the Bay to celebrate the Olympics and the Torch Relay, the Queens Diamond Jubilee, a major cycling event, Rugby Festival and other events

The event will run from 11am to 1pm in the Rosetor Suite at the Riviera International Conference Centre and is open to all to attend.

Mayor of Torbay, Gordon Oliver said: “I look forward to welcoming anyone with an interest in the future prosperity of Torbay to come along to this public meeting and find out about our plans for a Brighter Bay.”
