Torbay Development Agency’s Innovation Centre at Lymington Road in Torquay has had a £50,000 upgrade to its broadband connectivity to provide 100 Megabyte download speed for its tenants. 08/07/2011 Torbay Development Agency hopes to attract Call Centres to Torbay - backed up by Santander declaration to move operations to UK
Torbay Development Agency (TDA) was today excited to hear that Santander is relocating its call centres from the Far East to the UK, and hopes to attract some of these operations to Torbay, as call centres are identified as a key target sector in the Inward Investment Strategy which aims to bring new jobs to Torbay, on the South Devon coast.

24/03/11 Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal, officially opens the new Brixham Fish Quay on Tuesday 29 March, Brixham, Devon
The Princess Royal will meet local dignitaries at the entrance to the new fish quay, to be escorted by Tor Bay Harbour Master, Paul Labistour, on a tour of the new facilities. Her Royal Highness will meet local boat owners on the landing quay; see the fish auction in action in the new fish market and a filleting demonstration; and view a new public art work.

18/03/2011 Brixham Consultation Report to be published 21 April
In October 2010 consultants Savills were appointed by the Torbay Development Agency (TDA) to prepare a Site Development Brief for the development of Freshwater Quarry and Oxen Cove in Brixham, funded by the South West Regional Development Agency. The TDA and Council’s aim is to use the revenue from such a development to fund either wholly or in part the proposed Northern Arm Breakwater.
