As part of South Devon Enterprise Week 2011, Torbay Development Agency and its partners South Devon College & Outset Torbay hosted a series of events to support enterprise and help generate business growth.

Accessing Business Finance
With support from local banks and local financial organisations, the TDA hosted an ‘Accessing Business Finance’ event to help businesses be better informed on how to secure business fiancé and what products are available. There were 3 presentations given during the event:
- What does a good proposal look like by Jason Bailey and Andy Rowe, NatWest
- The right tools for the job by Chris Elliot, Lloyds TSB
- Grant for Business Investment by Paul Wilson, Department for Communities and Local Government

Come Fly with Us & Torbay Start-Up Business Networking
A special business start-up information event took place at The University Centre at South Devon College to introduce
Outset Torbay 
’s free programme of workshops and one-to-one coaching for people keen to explore their options for self-employment.
The information event was followed by a lunchtime business start-up networking event for local members of the business community.
Over 50 entrepreneurial-minded people attended the lively event, which enabled start-up businesses to network and meet new contacts, over a complimentary lunch.
