The annual awards are open to all businesses in the South Devon area and are designed to recognise those who’ve excelled in their field.

Torbay Development Agency is headline sponsor for the event as part of its aim to help Torbay businesses raise skills and aspirations and share their success.

The TDA will work with its partners in the public and private sector to generate entries for the awards and help to make this year’s event the biggest and best so far.

There are 9 award categories:

Each of the 9 categories will have 4 shortlisted companies competing for the Award. All 36 shortlisted companies will receive a certificate and each category winner will be presented with a trophy.

The South Devon Excellence Awards are a powerful marketing tool and winning one can help to increase a business’s awareness and profile; attract new customers, suppliers and employees; and enhance the reputation of a business in the regional and wider community.

The Awards will take place at the Riviera International Conference Centre on 10 February 2012.

More than 300 people from across the business community are expected at this highly prestigious event.

The event begins with a drinks reception where guests will be able to enjoy top quality music along with a glass of sparkling wine and a selection of canapés.

A three-course black tie dinner will be served at 7:30pm and presentation of the South Devon Business Excellence Awards will follow, with a high profile celebrity host to be confirmed.
