Torbay Around the World Network

Its part of our job to identify companies in key sectors for inward investment into Torbay and assist them in their relocation to Torbay.

To help us do this we would like to spread the wider messages to 'friends' or 'alumni' of Torbay. Maybe you were born in Torquay, Paignton or Brixham or went to school here? Perhaps you once worked in Torbay? Generally if you have spent enough time in Torbay to understand its key investment strengths and know what a great place it is to live, work and do business.

So if you’re now the CEO of a large worldwide company, own a growing business or perhaps now retired you might be able to help by spreading the word about the businesses we hope to attract to your wider networks and contacts and help Torbay to continue to grow and be even more successful!

We want to share with you our plans regarding the kind of companies we would like to see in the Bay and why. In doing so we hope that through your wider network of contacts you might just feel that you can mention these things in your day-to-day.

Some of you may work in the Advanced Electronics & Hi Tech sectors or perhaps in the call centre industry. These are just some of the industry sectors we are hoping to grow in Torbay and hopefully you can help us in putting the message out there to your wider contact networks?

Going forward we will look to upload various information so you have some tools to hand to help. But as a start download the Brighter Bay factsheet (see Related Documents). We also plan to hold a series of events, not all in Torbay, to help bring together important people in the business and political worlds who can help open the doors to the people making location decisions – and we need your support there too!
