How to make the most of your tourism award nomination

17th July 2018

Categories: Latest News

You may be nominated for one of our prestigious Herald Express South Devon Tourism and Hospitality Awards this year - but can you make the most of that nomination?

A new free workshop being held in Torquay will make sure you get yourself noticed.

Kim Thornton from TDA Business, who are organising the event, said: “When your business is nominated for an award, it can have a really positive effect on public awareness, social engagement and ultimately, sales.

“It’s also a really good way to gain positive press and grow your network. So making sure you nail your entry and get nominated is crucial.

“With the Herald Express South Devon Tourism and Hospitality Awards 2018 now open for nominations, we’re keen to get as many local businesses shortlisted as possible, and we want to help.”

The workshop will give nominees the advice they need on how best to sell their business and make their nomination stand out from the crowd.

“It’s all about giving your business the best chance of being nominated,” said Kim.

Entries for the awards close on August 9.
