How you can change your business with effective communication

Motivational speaker Nigel Risner will be inspiring businesses at the Knowledge Network event on 15 June and sharing how to create impact through better communication.

Nigel’s workshops and keynote speeches are results-oriented, challenging his listeners to expand their horizons, embrace the opportunities that await them and dare to dream of achievements which seemed impossible before.

The event provides a wider organisational focus, looking at communicating effectively with colleagues and customers. Customers are vital to all businesses and the event will share how to improve communication, leading to better sales, better team work, and a better insight into who we are and what we do.

Nigel Risner said: “My philosophy is that there is no such thing as difficult customers or staff – there are different customers and staff.  I will share how to recognise these personalities, understand them and relate to them is a more productive way.

“Having spoken to more than 1.5 million people worldwide, I recognise that most people fall into four categories in communication. Whilst there have been many other models used, my method of zoo keeping different animals is now used in Police Forces around the Country and many National Health Trusts.”

Nigel Risner is the only motivational speaker in Europe to have been awarded Speaker of the Year from The Academy for Chief Executives.

Knowledge Network is an initiative from TDA Business, working in partnership with the Palace Theatre Paignton, to provide exceptional speakers at affordable prices for South West Businesses.

Sara Morgan-Broom, Senior Economic Development Officer, said: “At our first event in February, we had a fantastic mix of businesses attend to see the brilliant Andy Cope, who shared many insightful gems for us to take away. One comment that stood out was that we have to make the change if we want to see change, it is not as easy as it sounds but I am trying to take on board some of the tips he gave as I am sure are many others who attended.

“It was great to see businesses bring more than one person as it is then much easier to make improvements within your business when you are all a part of it. Like many, I cannot wait to see what Nigel will bring to the next Knowledge Network.”

The first knowledge network saw South West businesses across the public and private sector attend, in teams and as individuals.

Lyn Milligan of BusinessXchange said: “What an amazing event. Its delivery was true genius – inspiring us to go off and be brilliant! I can’t wait for the next TDA event in June.”

Peter, who also attended the first Knowledge Network, said: “This should be compulsory induction training for all businesses. A great presentation that provides simple truths that any business can take on when they walk out the door.”
