Somerset business breakfast announced at Wheddon Cross

15th April 2015

Categories: Latest News

Following the successful launch of the new Highbridge Enterprise Centre in Somerset, South West Business Centres are continuing their support for local businesses with a breakfast networking event.

On 24 April 2015, business owners can enjoy valuable networking time with like-minded individuals, over breakfast. The event is at the Rest and Be Thankful Inn, Wheddon Cross, and begins at 8am.

The event is supported by Somerset County Council as part of its offer to local businesses, and is connected to its five enterprise centres. South West Business Centres manage the centres on the County Council’s behalf.

Delegates can pick up useful business tips from guest speaker, John Stephens, as well as networking with other companies. John was a Somerset Business Awards finalist in 2014 in the New Business category, which resulted in new contracts from a variety of customers.

As a Live Action Videographer with a corporate background, John will share how to make video work for your business across a wide range of applications.

John said: “The use of videos and clips in social media and digital communications is a simple way of building website traffic and demonstrating expertise. A route which many organisations fail to consider.”

John will cover briefly his first two years spent in business, what it is like doing business in Somerset and how he has benefited from synergy with other businesses.

Adrian Sheen, Innovation Centres Manager for South West Business Centres, said: “Networking breakfasts such as this are a good way to meet new people and boost your business, and are vital in helping to grow the local economy in the South West.

“Working with other companies is crucial to success and I’m looking forward to hearing about John’s experiences of doing business in the region.”

South West Business Centres provide help and advice on a range of areas for businesses that are starting up, and aiming to grow. A number of events will be provided regularly to develop networking opportunities across the South West.

Nearby, Market Enterprise Centre at Wheddon Cross offer companies a dedicated facility to help support their company. With flexible tenures, competitive rates and free support services they are ideal for any business.

The cost to attend this event is £5 to cover breakfast. Register your place at Wheddon Cross business breakfast by visiting
