Companies from TDA’s Torbay Hi Tech Forum will visit the SMT Hybrid Packaging conference and exhibition, which is held 5-7 May 2015 in Nuremburg, Germany.

TDA has arranged a trade mission for four companies in the hi tech sector to attend the event, which is a dynamic platform for information and networking in the field of micro electronics manufacturing in Europe.

TDA continues its strategy to support local businesses with promoting and selling their products in export markets. Meeting experts from across Europe will enable these local businesses to source new clients, suppliers and do business.

TDA’s Business Advisor, Wayne Loschi, has extensive experience of exporting products in the electronics industry and will be leading the delegation to the event.

Wayne said: “This will be a perfect opportunity for local businesses to promote their cutting edge technology to a new audience. The electronics, sensors and photonics industry offers significant growth opportunities, with new developments in technology constantly emerging.

“The South West region is characterised by an exceptional level of innovation and expertise with the region’s firms leading the way in semiconductor and wireless technology. We are excited by the business prospects the trade mission will offer.”

The companies attending are Alpha Contract Engineering Ltd, Eltek Semiconductors Ltd, Plessey and Rydon Technology, who rank highly as some of the South West’s most innovative businesses in this sector.

As part of the award winning South Devon Export Network these companies will be working with TDA to expand overseas business. The TDA’s aim for these businesses is to ‘Sell Global – Think Local’.

If you are interested in receiving support with growing your business overseas through the TDA’s Ready for Export workshop programme or would simply like to know more about being a part of the Hi Tech Forum, contact Wayne by emailing
